Text, in a way is more powerful then sound. Today, text messaging has topped even phone calls. People prefer typing out words rather then talking on the phone. Whats funny is when text messaging was put in place it was to aid the hearing impaired and it did terrible. It was only in last few years when it picked up

When I first learned HTML/CSS, it took me awhile to understand the reason behind separating form (CSS) from content (HTML). This video does an awesome job describing the power of separating the two. Two examples from the video are: automated data exchange (like RSS feeds) and data mash-ups (like Flickr maps).
